BacchusPOS/ShepherdTime
BacchusPOS is the core point of sale, marketing,
and data management product.
ShepherdTime is the payroll and security platform for BacchusPOS, and provides
the interface to accounting and payroll systems.
BacchusMobileInventory BacchusMobileInventory
is a licensed optional product. This
module talks to Symbol handheld inventory devices to help with inventory and
picking. This requires a secure wireless
connection and Internet connectivity.
Bacchus support
services retainer Most
clients prefer to have a blanket cost for their support rather than paying
hourly rates. This retainer is designed
so that you can call us before you get frustrated, and covers Bacchus and
Bacchus supported software questions, as well as the use of Bacchus in your
business. This support is also available
hourly.
Bacchus hardware/IT
retainer Most clients also
prefer to have a blanket cost for dealing with hardware and IT issues. This retainer covers the maintenance of the
hardware and IT issues related to connectivity, anti-virus, spyware protection,
Windows updates, and related issues. It
includes support for certain other IT issues not related to Bacchus like camera
and security integration. This support
is also available hourly.
Medusa Mail hosting
and relay Mail used to be easy and
free. Now it is loaded with spam and
viruses, and the response of many providers is to severely limit the amount of
mail that you can send as a Draconian way to slow down the spammers and bad
guys. This is the item that has gone up
drastically in cost this year as we have brought multiple hosted servers on
line to make sure your Bacchus email gets out and is not blocked.
Postini mail scum/scam/virus
filtering Keep those snakes
off the plane, and out of Medusa Mail! This
is the external service we use to filter incoming mail. It works.
BacchusWebStore /
Apollo Webstore Suite The
BacchusWebStore and Apollo WebStore Suite connect to your Bacchus or Apollo
inventory files and host your items in an ASP.NET-compliant hosted web store. It allows for customers to buy (in states
where allowed), browse, and read store news.
In states where it is allowed it computes delivery fees. This product in stage 3 has a list price of
$13,000. Either BacchusPOS or Apollo
Sales are the required as the data manager.
These web stores meet or exceed current Payment Card Industry
standards. Either includes 30 hours of
customization and support, and can be skinned to match your current look.
Apollo POS Suite ApolloPOS Suite is part of the BacchusPOS family of
products. Drawing on the BacchusPOS
engine, it is well-suited for retail environments consisting of different
vendors selling different items in remote locations -- state fairs, concerts,
street fairs, kiosks, and the like. It
does not perform the extensive marketing outreach and customer analysis that
BacchusPOS does, but in these venues you are handling that elsewhere, or not at
all.

sale work
o WebApollo for online
sales
o RemoteApollo for sales
on Symbol PDA handhelds.

ApolloSuite is a Microsoft language product, and is written in
Visual Studio and *.NET, providing language extensibility into the next decade.

ApolloSuite works with most hardware, and can use all major
barcode scanners, card readers, payment industry peripheral devices, printers,
and more. It has a minimal footprint,
and is digitally secure to resist tampering.
Site hosting We provide site hosting and web store
hosting services for BacchusPOS and Apollo Suite clients. At this point, the BacchusWebStore can only
be hosted on our servers. We anticipate
this being available for other Windows hosts in 2008.
NOD32 anti-virus
renewal and support NOD32
is our preferred anti-virus solution. It
operates with low overhead and plays well with other programs.
PC Charge support We provide support for
PCCharge. PCCharge is the middleware
between Bacchus and your credit card processor.
Remote backup
services Those
expensive servers we mentioned for mail and site hosting also can remotely
backup your data each night online. You
can never have too many backups. This is
configured for Bacchus data; it can be customized to get other data.
BacchusNotes We now offer a centralized note
service. You can receive tasting note
updates automatically. Not all wines are
covered, of course, and this will not overwrite local notes that you have. This is a new product, and is still in stage
1, and has attractive stage 1 pricing.
BacchusStoreCompare This
product is under development, but will allow you to compare your sales numbers
per foot and by item with other stores.
The identity of all stores is confidential. It lets you see a hot wine from another part
of the country that you may have missed.

Astara Firewall The Astara firewall is a
hardware device that acts as a barrier between you and the Web. It also allows for selective filtering, and for
tracking employee web usage and visited sites.

Onsite consulting and
training Retainer customers can
have onsite consulting at the discounted rate of $560 per day. This is also available to non-retainer customers
at $980 per day plus expenses.
Renewal discounts At
renewal time you can add any additional services or products for 25% off and
take extended 120 day billing. To take
advantage of this discount, you must add the service around your renewal time.
